Wanted to try something new in Japantown and it was good. The spicy miso broth had great flavor and had the traditional ramen toppings.

Since we've already tried the very popular and busy ramen spot upstairs we decided to try something new. This was perfect as there was practically no wait, no fuss, and very affordable! I got the butter corn miso ramen with a side of tempura don. Sure, the ramen might not compare to the famous one upstairs, but it definitely hit the spot for me. Even better was that it was a great deal and was plenty for me to pack leftovers as well.

Last visit 2017! Time flies. Loved the suzu ramen, comes with corn 2 gyozi (fried potstickers) yummy, 1 karaage (fried chicken - very flavorful), green onions bamboo shoots, 3 thick slices of pork, and al dente noodles in a sea salt base. Nicest waitress. Only one managing the whole place. Amazing. Also the Nabeya udon, comes in a pot. They have $5.95 tempura don in a small rice bowl. Tempura was excellent. Crunchy, good batter. Dinner at 6 pm, no lines.

Wanted something really hot on a cold night and the hot pot at Suzus did not disappoint. The wait was about 30 minutes on a holiday, and the servers were very busy but still were kind. Good spot in Japantown!

Ramen here was pretty good! I got the shoyu soup base with vegetable tempura on the side. The broth, noodles, and tempura were all very satisfying. I found the chasu to be a little dry, though. We came for a Friday lunch and our waitress was attentive and our food came out quickly. I would come back again.

Visiting Japantown to do some holiday shopping when we were in search of lunch. Parents chose Suzu as this is a low-key establishment with good food. We were seated quickly and the staff were friendly. Quite a few items to choose from on the menu. Kiddo ordered the spicy ramen - he ate it all up. Hubs went with the chicken karaage bento and mom ordered the beef bento. Both bento came with rice, veggies, potato salad, and ginger. Dad ordered ramen with tempura. I ordered the Curry Nabeyaki Udon - piping hot, good flavor, and the udon texture was good. Portions were good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Must say, the prices were quite reasonable as well.

We went for a weekend lunch but was able to sit pretty quickly. The waiters were nice and there was ample seating. I ordered the karaage curry which was good. I asked for extra ginger and they were very nice about it when I asked. I think the curry was better than the fried food that it came with. The downside was that we had to wait over 20 minutes because they forgot half of our order. My friend finished eating before our food came out.

Stopped by for lunch and was impressed by the quick and fast service. Diversity is nice and there is something for everyone-- eg you can get a traditional hot shouyu ramen while someone else can get a cold soba. Ambiance is simple and no frills. My ramen came out in under 3 min. While ramen isn't as good as marufuku on the second floor, it's a decent option, at a reasonable price..
